The Six in Five project offers a series of six concerts of classical music, which combines musical experience with educational accompanying programs, which enables personal contact with musicians and mediates a deeper understanding of the compositions and their authors for listeners.
The concerts take advantage of the exceptional acoustics and atmosphere of the newly renovated church. Thanks to the project, a new, unconventional concert venue, which offers the general public a space to take a break and to contemplate. The founder of the project is Jakub Šandera, manager of KPS, graduate of the University of Economics in Prague in Arts Management, the Prague Conservatory in Viola Playing and the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in Music Production. The project operates with financial support Prague 5 City District, State Fund of Culture of the Czech Republic, Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, Diaconal and Development Projects of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren and OSA.
"Six in Five" continues the musical tradition of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren in Smíchov. The project aims to produce high-quality music, share, dialogue, activate Prague residents and provide therapy through live classical music. The project expands the program of the Community Space Smíchov, which has become a center of cultural, social and educational activities for the general public in Prague 5.
