At the Community Space Smíchov, we distribute food packages twice a month to people in both, short-term and long-term need. Homeless people, people with addictions, families with children, single parents, seniors, members of ethnic minorities, refugees, all can apply to receive food.
The food aid is held on every first Monday and second, or third Saturday of the month from 15:00–16:30.
Through our activities, we want to build functional relationships, create good mood, support solidarity between people and – within our capability – help people in difficult life situations. In cooperation with the Food Bank for the Central Bohemian Region and Prague, we help reduce food waste.
Our activities are supported by volunteers who, on the day of distribution, sort and divide the food equally into packages. Anyone can join in volunteering. We are glad for every new member of the "team".
