At the Community Space Smíchov, we distribute food packages twice a month to people in both, short-term and long-term need. Homeless people, people with addictions, families with children, single parents, seniors, members of ethnic minorities, refugees, all can apply to receive food.
Food is distributed every 1st Monday and 2nd or 3rd Saturday of the month from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
Through our activities, we want to build functional relationships, create good mood, support solidarity between people and – within our capabilities – help people in difficult life situations. In cooperation with the Food Bank for the Central Bohemian Region and Prague, we help reduce food waste.
Our activities are supported by volunteers who, on the day of distribution, sort and divide the food equally into packages. Anyone can join in volunteering. We are glad for every new member of the "team".
